THE OWNERS

The Color Theory is family owned and operated by
Anita and Nathan Russell, and located in Dickson, TN.
In 2002, after the birth of our son, we decided that
Anita would not continue working away from home.
As our son grew and became more independent, The
Color Theory was developed. Throughout Anita's
career as a designer she often did freelance work and
was always helping others with design projects. We
thought this would be a great way to continue in the
design field and still have time for family. So far we've
been pleased with the results.

THE DESIGNER

Anita has been in the design industry for ten years
and has experience in a variety of design fields.
Having knowledge of the printing process is a great
asset to design. Without this knowledge, a great design
may become not-so-great when printed. Her printing
experience includes screen printing and flexographic
wide web and label printing.

IT ALL HAPPENS HERE:
My iMac G5. It's not my best friend or anything, although some would beg to differ, but I do love it! This is where all the design projects come to life. Truth be told, it is probably the most used thing we own. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Nathan is supportive of The Color Theory and often
helps when developing ideas for new projects. He
likes the idea that we can have a home based
business that allows for family time. He received his
Bachelor of Science degree from the University of
Tennessee at Martin in 1994. He then proceeded to
Vanderbilt University where he received his Masters in Nursing. He is currently working at our local hospital
as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice and Geriatric
Psychiatry.

This is one of our son's baby pictures. He's not quite a baby anymore though. He will be 4 this year and proving each day his artistic abilities. He loves to draw and learn. He also has a real love for animals and nature.
